School Real Estate Tax Installments
As a result of Act 1, if your property qualifies as a homestead or farmstead, you will have the option of making installment payments for the school portion of your real estate tax bill. You will find a separate school tax bill, which includes payment coupons if you are eligible to pay on installments.
These installment payments are only available at FACE. There is NO 2% DISCOUNT available when paying on installments. If installment payments are late, you will incur a 10% PENALTY on that late payment. You may still pay your school tax in full with ONE payment either at discount, face, or penalty as you have in the past. There is NO installment option available for your county and township real estate tax.
